Mama Mia
I realize that I'm everywhere on this blog, but since this is my third edition of Portladelphia, I'm following the same growing stages. My previous blogs weren't bad, I just felt that I needed to change my audience and direction. I feel that once I get too personal, or adding too much personal drama, I've lost why I'm writing.
For now, I'll keep everyone and myself on our toes. Topics will change. Emotions will be new.
I have to say that this holiday so far has been pretty good. Lots of holiday parties. Great friends to celebrate with. Easier shopping this year. Of course, I still miss the crap out of my family, but that's on me for now.
So I freakin love musicals. Ever since Julia and I went to see Les Miserable in Portland, I have gone to almost every major production show on Broadway in NYC. Speaking of NYC, it made my love more fulfilling by living a few hours from Broadway.
I especially like it when movies are turned into movies. Mama Mia was a great treat from my friend Amy in Las Vegas. I liked it so much that a few of us saw it again in NYC. Now the movie is coming out in a few months! I can't wait. Great musical, great story, and a fantastic production. If it's in your area, go see it. You'll have rave reviews.
The other musical to movie great would have to be Rent. I mean, bringing the original cast back to play their characters was perfect. I never did know that Ty Diggs was Bennie.
Hope you're enjoying your holiday. If not, take a step back from the hustle and absorb the moment.
