So I'm an amateur photographer. Really just a point and shoot kind of guy. I do have a digital SLR I got as a birthday gift, but really have not had the time to take it out and learn more about it.

It's funny because once you get interested into photography, you start looking at objects at different angles, or new lighting, or its composition with its surrounds. Yeah, those 2 semesters in Photography did impact me a bit. I still don't have the patience to get that perfect picture, but I guess that comes with experience and love of the art.

Some of the best photographs I've seen are from amateur photographers. People who live their day like any ordinary person, but can stop on a dime and see something soo amazing that they can capture it, and its meaning. Flickr has to be one of the greatest tools for us amateurs to put our ideas to the public to view, comment, use.
